Description
Capital of Hyderabad State, the largest and wealthiest princely state of British India, on the Musi river in the Deccan.
Historical notes
The Nizam entered subsidiary alliance with the Company in 1798 and ceded Berar as the Assigned Districts in 1853; the state acceded to India only after the police action of September 1948, hence valid_to=1948.
