Description
Hill station on the Murree spur of Rawalpindi District, which the Imperial Gazetteer notes rises to 7,517 feet, the highest point in the district.
Historical notes
Founded in 1851 as a sanatorium for the Rawalpindi garrison and used as the summer seat of the Punjab government until 1876.
